Freedom and urban mobility: discover why you should use a city bicycle

City bicycles, also called city bikes, are designed to make urban commuting easier. These bikes can come with or without gears and are often equipped with chain guards and fenders to protect both the bike’s mechanical parts and the rider’s clothing from water and pollution.
The pedals do not require special shoes and do not have fixed attachments, unlike road bikes.

The tread of city bike tires is intermediate — not knobby like mountain bike tires, nor thin and smooth like road bike tires. To enhance rider comfort, the saddle is wide and soft, and for carrying items, the urban bike can be fitted with racks or baskets. The city bike frame is also prepared to accommodate child seats, as well as a kickstand for parking.
